Take your Devine Selection Seriously

⁶ Do this because you are the LORD’S own people. From all the people on earth, the LORD your God chose you to be his special people—people who belong only to him.

Introduction

The book of Malachi is a conversation between God and the people of Israel. God communicates to the Israelites that he is a transcendent and Holy God. Never will he lower His standards. As the Israelites questions God not being there for them, He reminds them that He has loved them no matter their foolishness because they are a chosen people…

Read Malachi 1:1-14 and try to understand the chapter.

1. Discuss why as Christians we should take our divine selection seriously.

2. Did we choose God or did God choose us? Discuss (Deut 7-13).

3. Why did God choose you out of all the people in this world? Discuss (1 Peter 2:9).

4. Are we entitled to anything God gives us? Discuss.
